New Delhi: After the Rajya Sabha session ended sine die without a vote on the Lokpal Bill, Team Anna attacked the government on its failure to get the Lokpal bill passed in the saying it had showed that nobody can trust the UPA.
"We cannot trust this government. By the evening it was very clear that government was not ready to face vote. The trust deficit is huge today," activist Kiran Bedi said.
Team Anna had been calling the government draft of the Bill 'toothless' and Ms Bedi had said yesterday that she would prefer non-passing of the bill as of now as it will save CBI from further dilution.
"I had appealed for 'save CBI' campaign. Non passing of Lokpal Bill as of now will at least save CBI from further dilution," she had said.
