New Delhi: Breaking
convention to spread a strong message on women empowerment, a young
bride rode a horse to her marriage ceremony in Satwara village of
Khandwa district of Madhya Pradesh.
The unique tradition which was practiced by the Patidar community centuries ago was brought alive by the young woman.
She rode the horse to the groom's house with her family and friends dancing around in the hour-long marriage procession.
In recent months, India has been incensed over crimes against women with protests being held all over the country.
