At Rs 20 cr, Aston Martin drives in
Mumbai: Got Rs20 crore for a car?
FOR A CAR!
Somebody just bought one.

BOUGHT ONE!
It is time to reset eyeballs, folks.
Aston Martin, the marquee British car which is the vehicle of choice for one James Bond, set up a beachhead in Mumbai offering the costliest car ever in India. It's also an unusual car because only 77 of them will be produced. And 72 of those have already been bought across the globe.
With five to go, the Aston Martin One-77, which was launched at the Paris Motor Show in 2008, was put out for sale in Mumbai on Friday. Last year, saw the launch of Bugatti Veyron, the fastest car allowed on road with a top speed of 431 kmph, with a sticker price of Rs16 crore. Sources said 4-5 cars have already been booked by Indian customers, while one One-77 has been bought of the remaining 5. The super luxury car segment in India, experts said, is growing at 35-40% a year.
"We are entering India because we think the timing is right," said Bill Donnelly, director of sales at Aston Martin Lagonda Group.
"The Indian market for high-end sports cars is small, but growing very rapidly, and this is the first step for Aston Martin to get into this market," said Donnelly.
