Chennai: India Against Corruption, associated with Anna Hazare's anti-graft campaign, will stage a human chain in Chennai on May 1, demanding action against 16 MPs who allegedly have criminal backgrounds.
"We have currently gathered strong evidence proving criminal charges against 16 prominent MPs. With the support of Indians across the country, we demand that due action be taken and proper FIRs be filed against these 16 MPs," IAC Chennai said in a statement in Chennai.
The demonstration will be held at Marina beach here on May 1, it said.
